⚫ What is Hajj?
Hajj is an important part of Islamic worship. In Hajj, Tawaf Vasi, staying in Muzdalifah and Arafat and other rituals are performed.Hajj is a once in a lifetime obligation for every sane and mature person who has the capacity and ability to perform Hajj.
The literal meaning of Hajj is to intend and Ziarat.
حج کے لغوی معنی قصد کرنا،زیارت کا ارادہ کرنا۔
The correct meaning of Hajj is that during the days of Hajj, it is called Hajj to visit certain places and Baitullah to perform certain rituals.
حج کے اصلاحی معنی یہ ہیں کہ حج کے ایام میں مخصوص مناسک کی ادائیگی کیلئے مخصوص مقامات و بیت اللہ کا قصد کرنا حج کہلاتا ہے۔

Obligatory worship
The Holy Qur'an has made Hajj obligatory on every person who has the ability to pay the expenses of Hajj, as Allah Almighty has said, and Hajj to the House of Allah is obligatory on people for the pleasure of Allah, whoever can afford to go there.Affordability of Hajj means that the person has the ability to bear the financial expenses incurred on Hajj and in his absence, his family members do not suffer financially, i.e. food and drink and the necessities of life are available and Hajj So that there is no obstacle in reaching the House of Allah, the following are some of the sayings of the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, about the virtues of Hajj.
1.Reward of Hajj Mabarur(مقبول)
The Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) explained the importance of Hajj and said that whoever performs Hajj and his Hajj is accepted in the presence of Allah, the only reward for Hajj is Paradise.

2.Guests of Allah(اللہ تعالی کے مہمان)
While describing the importance and virtues of Hajj, the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) described the Haji as a guest of Allah. Just as the honor and respect of the guest is done by the host and the host does a lot for the happiness of the guest. Similarly, Allah Ta'ala also fulfills the good wishes of the Haji and accepts the prayers.
(Those who perform Hajj and Umrah are guests of Allah, He accepts what they pray to Allah and if they seek forgiveness from Him, He will forgive them.) Ibn e Maja:2892
3.Forgiveness of sins(گناہوں کی معافی)
According to the Prophet (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him), a person who performs Hajj and his Hajj is accepted, becomes pure and clean from sins like a child born from its mother's womb without any sins.
(Whoever performs Hajj and avoids sins and evils during Hajj, he will return as pure and clean as if he was born from his mother's womb) Sahi Bukhari:1521
⚫ Hajj Rituals || مناسک حج
1.Ihram and intention of Hajj (احرام اور نیت حج)
Ihram and intention are the first rites of Hajj. Ihram is actually the dress of Hajj in which two white sheets are used. Covers Using two sheets in Ihram is for men, while for women, sewn clothes are necessary, and for women, the head should be covered in such a way that their hair is not visible, but in the state of Ihram, the face should be covered so that the cloth covers the mouth. It is also forbidden for women to be together.Making an intention means that a Muslim should make the intention that he is going to pay the Hajj, an important part of Islam.
2.Miqat (میقات)
The place from where it is necessary to wear Ihram is called Miqat.
3.Talbiyah (تلبیہ)
Some of the words recited in Talbiyah are as follows.
4.Istilam (استیلام)
At the beginning of each round of Tawaf, one starts Tawaf by kissing the black stone, but during Hajj, since there is a heavy crowd, it is also permissible to start Tawaf by pointing and kissing the hand from a distance. This is called Istilam.
5.Tawaf (طواف)
Tawaf is performed seven times around Bait Allah during Hajj and it is performed at three different times which have three different names...
1.Tawaf Qadum:During the Hajj, the first Tawaf performed after reaching Makkah is called Tawaf Qadum.
2.Tawaf Ziarat:Cutting off the hair of one's head so that not a single hair is left, and the Tawaf that is performed after the sacrifice is called Tawaf Ziarat, which is performed in the middle of the Hajj.
3.Tawaf Alwida (طواف وداع):At the end of Hajj, the Tawaf performed to leave Makkah is called Tawaf Alwida.
6.Sa'i (سعی)
After Tawaf al-Qadum, pilgrims circle between Safa and Marwah. This process is called Sa'i. It is obligatory to perform Sa'i during Hajj and Umrah.
7.Stay in Manna ( منیٰ میں قیام )
On the 8th of Zil-Hijjah, after Tawaf and Sa'i, the Haji go to Mina. First, on the night of the 8th Zil-Hijjah, they worship in Mina, listen to the Hajj sermom (خطبہ) in Arafat, and then spend the night in Muzdalifah. They shave their heads and make a sacrifice.The Rumi proccess also performed in Mina on returning from Muzdalifah.It is obligatory to stay in Mina for three days.
8.Waqoof Arafat (وقوف عرفات)
On the 9th of Zil-Hijjah, Haji's go to Arafat. Waqoof Arafat means staying in the field of Arafat.This is the biggest part of Hajj.And Zuhr and Asr prayers are read together in this field.
9.Stay in Muzdalifah (مزدلفہ میں قیام)
On the 9th of Zil-Hijjah, Hajjis have to listen to the Hajj Sermon in Arafat and perform the Zuhr and Asr prayers together. After that, the Hajj spends the night of the 9th of Zil-Hijjah in Muzdalifah. After staying the night in Muzdalifah, they come to Mina the next morning after Fajr prayer.
10.Rumi Jamarat (شیطان کو کنکریاں مارنا)
There are three big pillars in Mina which are called Jamrats. On 11th, 12th and 13th of Zil-Hijjah, pilgrims hit these Jamrats with seven pebbles.This act is actually an expression of hatred and disgust of Satan because these were the two or three places where Satan attacked them. Had tried to stop Hazrat Ibrahim (peace be upon him) when he was going to sacrifice his son Hazrat Ismail in the way of Allah.
11.Sacrifice (قربانی)
On the 10th of Zil-Hijjah, Haji reach Mina and perform the Qurbani and after that they open their Ihram.
12.Shaving the head (سر منڈوانا)
After opening the Ihram, men shave their heads, while women cut three fingers' worth of hair from their braids.
⚫ Six days of Hajj || حج کے چھ ایام
•First Day of Hajj 8th Zul-Hijjah
•Second Day of Hajj 9th Zul-Hijjah
•Third Day of Hajj 10th Zul-Hijjah
•Fourth and Fifth Days of Hajj Eleventh and Twelfth Zul-Hijjah
•Sixth Day of Hajj 13th Zul-Hijjah
⚫ Hajj Faraiz,Wajabat and Prohibitions of Ihram.
•Hajj Faraiz:Ihram, Waqoof Arafat and Tawaf Qadum.Some scholars have also considered Sa'i as one of the Faraiz of Hajj.
•Hajj Wajabat:Not passing through the Miqat without Ihram. Staying in the plain of Arafat until sunset on the day of Arafah. Standing in Muzdalifah. Stones at Jamrat. Sacrifice. Shaving or cutting the head. If one of the obligations(Wajabat) is missed, then the Hajj will not be valid.
•Prohibitions Of Ihram:Using perfume, cutting nails, removing body hair, covering the face, wearing sewn clothes for men only, covering the head for men only, men living outside the Miqat must perform Tawaf when returning.
